Thirty years of the health care service for ostomy patients in Juiz de Fora and surroundings

ABSTRACT Objective: to establish the epidemiological profile of ostomized patients treated at Health Care Service for Ostomy Patients in Juiz de Fora and region (SASPO/JF) quantify pathologies that led stoma as well ostomy-related complications. Method: a retrospective study was carried out with analysis 496 medical records registered HCSOP/JF over 30 years who remained service June 2018. The following variables were considered: age, sex, pathology stoma, type, time, location complications stomas. Results: 53.43% male 46.57% female. average age 56.24 among men 58.40 women. Eight had two types ostomies simultaneously total 504 follows: 340 colostomies (67.46%), 117 ileostomies (23.21%) 47 urostomies (9.33%). Additionally, 47.65% 76.92% temporary, while all permanent.
